Switching from Tier 2 ICT dependant to T2 general applicant

Post by Sul1980 » Wed Jul 12, 2017 6:54 pm

Hi Gurus,

I need some guidance urgently plz. Any help is appreciated.

I came to uk in July 2011 on short term T2 ICT and then subsequently extended T2 ICT long term till 23 July 2017. I am still in UK and returning to India on 21 July 2017.

My wife and 2 children were also granted T2 ICT dependent all this time along with me. But my wife and children left UK last year on 19 July 2016 and never returned to UK in last one year.

Now my who was my dependant so far got Sponsership for her own and COS is generated for Tier 2 General-restricted category.

Now we have to apply for our visa from home country.

My question is, what is the best option for applying visa from below mentioned 2 options

1. Apply visa for full family all together
2. Apply for her visa first and once she get visa and then apply for my and children's visa as dependent..

If option 2 is preferred option then, can we apply immediately after her visa granted or is it mandatory for her to travel to uk and get her BRP card and then we will apply for dependant visa.

Plz help as you can see my dates are very close for any decision .

Thanks in advance

Either option can be done. It is your choice.

Each visa will only be valid for 30 days, so yes, once issued you will have only 30 days to enter the UK and collect BRP within 10 days of arriving.

Thanks CR001 for quick response. It really appreciated.

So although I will be seen as just returning to home country after finishing T2 ICT main aplenty will not influence visa approval decision for my wife T2 general as main applicatent.

As this is with in the law?

Please confirm.

Thanks

No, it won't. Two different visa categories with different requirements.

Thanks for the confirmation. It's really helpful and much appreciated.

One more thing, as I will be returning to India on 21 July after 6 years. Does TB test will still be required for me for processing T2 general dependent?

And my wife got Sponsership in IT field, does PCC applicable on her.

We are applying from India.

Thanks,
Sulabh
