British Citizenship

Post by hs310 » Fri Jul 14, 2017 2:21 am

I'm married to a UK citizen and I have a settlement visa, and I've fulfilled the 3-year residency and other requirements for citizenship, but I have never worked or paid taxes while living in England. Will that be a problem?

Do you have ILR?? This is different to a "settlement visa".

When did you get your visa and enter the UK?

Employment is not mandatory for citizenship but holding I definite leave to remain (ILR) is.

Residency is normally five years unless you initially entered as a spouse prior to (around) Jul 2012.
