Tier 2 General Extension-Extra Documents to avoid DELAY???

Post by legend007 » Wed Jul 19, 2017 2:36 pm

I have gone through quite a number of threads regarding Tier 2 general - Change of employment extension.
The documents needed by UKBA for the process seem fairly straight forward (BRP card, International Passport and 2 passport photographs)

I have also noticed quite a number of people on the thread made mention of Applications being put on hold for extra verifications with employers and the employee.

Would it then be wise taking this extra documents to the Premium Visa appointment to ensure getting the Tier 2 visa on the day since it seems to be what the tend to request for from employers, just to speed up the process and avoid delays

- RLMT job advertisement pages (signed and collected from employer)
- Offer letter granted after RLMT
- Cover Letter from Employer stipulating the staff strength above the required 250 hence can advertise on their company website in addition to the Job center plus website
- Detailed job description

Although the above is not required or requested for, but with the recent spate of delays of premium visa applications for Tier 2 extensions, am "thinking" of (and probably future applicants) getting these documents from the future employer and presenting it along with the "Mandatory" documents.

What are your thoughts and advice?

No harm in taking these docs.
However, generally when there is a hold-up, it is when the caseworker has doubt of rlmt properly conducted. As i understand, if he does have doubt, that wouldnt go away by you giving him more docs at peo.

Cheers iworker. you have a valid point to be honest.
I would want to clear any doubts i might have (if i were the caseworker) without assistance from the applicant.

One can not help but wonder, why any doubts would creep in if the RLMt was done accordingly, in terms of the advertisement for 28 days on 2 wesites (jobcenter + and another, salary, ID reference, job spec and duties, post date and close date).

At the end of the day, it all depends on what the caseworker reads on the CoS submitted by the company in question.

Another point to note is that, Most persons that post on the thread tend to have issues before posting so might be just the 0.1% of applicants and the successful ones 99.9% might not come here to post if all went smoothly with their submitted docs.

Cheers Iworker again
