Lump sum money into bank account before application

Post by brother88 » Thu Jul 20, 2017 1:21 am

Salaam,

I applied for my wifes visa at the end of June, she is in Pakistan. However, recently I came across the text below in the "Settlement visa from Pakistan - useful information" thread in this forum:
"WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T PUT A LUMP SUM IN JUST BEFORE AN APPLICATION UNLESS YOU CAN JUSTIFY AND SHOW EVIDENCE AS TO WHERE IT CAME FROM."

In April I moved £10k from my ISA to my bank account to cover the wedding expenses in May. I didn't send the ISA statement with the application.

My question is: Should I send my ISA statements to the Sheffield office as a precaution/proactive measure and will they accept this method of additional information being sent to them?

Thank you.

If you had met the financial requirement through working then it will be irrelevant & non-important.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

I hope you are right. I'm on £27k salary so hopefully there are no issues.
