Hello,
My daughter was born in the UK while me and my wife were on T1/T1 dependant visa. All three of us eventually got ILRs and, later on, me and wife naturalised as British citizens.
I have recently applied for MN1 registration for my daughter under 1(3) section using JCAP/NCS but we are still waiting for decision. Unfortunately, we need to leave the UK for a prolonged period of time (to work abroad) and with the current backlog of applications I don't think HO will make a decision on our case before our departure.
What should we do now? Will HO reject MN1 application for my daughter on the grounds that she is no longer residing in the UK (although she has an ILR)? Do we need to withdraw our application and resubmit it from abroad? Can we just tell our new address outside the UK and they will send the naturalisation certificate abroad? We can just use Royal Mail redirection service as well..
Unfortunately, staying in the UK until we get certificate is not really an option and I'm quite desperate now worrying that my daughter will not get naturalised. Any advice is really appreciated! Thanks!!
