Hi,
I have a UK refugee status, and a month ago I received a Convention travel document.
Although my Leave to Remain is endorsed on the 3rd page of the travel document, only today I've noticed that the Leave to Remain "unique number" doesn't match the number on the top-right of my BRP card (I think it should) - although the other data are correct: issue and expiration dates and Home Office reference number, as well as my name, DOB, nationality, etc.
Next week I have a Schengen tourist visa appointment for one-week travel to Italy in late September, and I will bring both the travel document and the BRP.
Will this cause problems to:
(1) visa appointment
(2) border control (UK or Italy)
(3) later with the Home Office if I used this travel document?
What should I do now?
- Ignore the mismatch?
- Explain to the embassy it is a Home Office mistake?
- Contact the Home Office before or after the travel (if it proceeds)?
Thanks!
