Even I applied in Chennai through standard service. But I got a confirmation e-mail from British deputy high commission, Chennai and not Sheffield. I applied on 10th August btw.
Can't you just read through the topic to see what members have already posted?? This topic is becoming repetitive with new joiners asking the same questions. They have all posted when they applied etc in this topic or the other lengthy one, except user 'pavitra' who is a child student visa applicant and will likely have more scrutiny of their application.
Hi. I can only imagine how hard it must be to moderate the forum these days. Sorry about that. You're doing a great job. The thing is, processing has been shifted from regional centres to sheffield this time around resulting in huge delays. I don't think people are intentionally spamming, but are rather desperate as their respective course start days are fast approaching. Please do bare with us. Thanks!CR001 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 4:44 pmCan't you just read through the topic to see what members have already posted?? Yes, we understand that, as is every other category of visa applicant who have applied abroad, with spouse visas from abroad being delayed by 6 or 7 months already. You guys are not unique in having delays and moaning about a 30 odd day delay. Try telling a child in the UK that their mum/dad won't be here for at least 6-12 months because a spouse visa is taking that long to process.Mugatiya26 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 5:05 pmHi. And I've applied for tier 4 general student visa Not child visa. I'm 17.
An update to my post. I collected my passport with succesfull tier 4 visa on 22rd August.krishdarsh wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2017 8:25 amLooks like i aint the only one stuck in this soup.
Here goes my timeline, would be of great help if you guys could help me out
I am a new student applying for Bachelors. I choose the Standard processing time cause i had a lot of days left before Univ starts (now cursing myself why i did not take the priority)
24th July : Applied for tier 4 PBS student visa
26th July : submitted bio-metrics/had an interview/scanned my documents and my passport was taken
from "VFS CHENNAI"
8th August : received a mail from Sheffield saying my application is being prepared for consideration by
an ECO.
18th August : received another mail from Sheffield saying my visa application still remains under
consideration and that they are unable to process it within the 15 day time frame.
I am happy that they atleast sent me a mail on the 16th day. But its kinda frustrating to wait for god knows how long.
I would also like to add that after my interview the interviewer ended the conversation by saying "Enjoy the rest of your days" still debating with myself if that is positive or negative.
Congratulations. When and from where did you apply for your visa?mta143 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 4:44 amGuys I recieved my visa today on the 31st working day. Like many of you, I too had no communication from UKVI. Even yesterday, when I called them they said my case was awaiting decision, and escalated it upon my request. I got a message couple of hours later to collect my passport.
Did you receive any decision made email from visainfo.SHEFO prior to collecting your visa?krishdarsh wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 4:30 amAn update to my post.
