Travelling - Schengen visa

Post by babbit » Tue Aug 15, 2017 11:59 am

Hello all.
I'm Polish citizent living in UK for over 10 years. My husband is non EEA national. He's a holder of PR.
We were supposed to travel to Germany for couple of days so we applied for Schengen Visa. We got it no problem however due to personal circumstances he really needs to go on his own.
Now i believe that's going to be a problem isn't it? Is there any way around it? I may be able to join him later on but don't think that's changing anything.
Really appreciate your help. :)

Even though there's remark on his visa that it's for family member of EEA national and he's supposed to travel with me or join me?

I am a non-EEA national (Turkish) married to a Belgian citizen and traveled by myself many times for work with my UK Family Permit & Schengen visa. They only asked me where my husband is every time I was entering the country at passport control and I just told them that he was at home waiting for me:) They basically just want to make sure that the EEA national and the dependent spouse are still together.
