Spouse Visa 2017

Post by kalvinjamie » Wed Aug 23, 2017 7:49 pm

Hi everyone!

I am a british national and my husband is a cambodian national. we have been together for nearly two years and have been married since june this year.

he ic currently on a Tier 4 student visa until september next year. I'm trying to dig and do some research on how to get him a spouse visa, but i don't know if it's just me, but i find the gov website rather confusing! this is our situation:

-we live with my mum, but did rent a flat together for a year up until march this year.
-i earn over £18,600 and have done for over a year.
-we've been married since june 29th.
-we intend to go down the 5 year route for permanent stay.
- we are a same sex couple with a marriage, NOT a civil partnership.
-as he is on a tier 4 student visa, he isn't legally allowed to work, so i am the main bread-winner with my salary, which is over the amount required.
-he has been here since 2013, before we met.

I'm struggling to see if we'd have a problem with our application. can anyone see anything missing from our situation?

many thanks in advance :D :D
