New born baby ... plz help

Post by Mawi88 » Fri Aug 25, 2017 5:27 pm

Dear all,

I am in a bit of a confusing situation, i hope you guys can advice on it

Me and my wife are currently in the UK on a Tier 2 visa. We have recently had a new born baby girl. We are planning to travel soon in the future, therefore we need to get our new born a passport and a Tier 2 dependent visa. This is all fine, however, our home country's consulate is permenantly closed in the UK and therefore we cannot get her a passport from that consulate. The solution is to issue the passport from a consulate outside the uk and post the passport back to the UK and then apply for a tier 2.

My question is: would this create a problem with the home office as they may be confused about how does my new born has a passport issued from outside the UK without the baby travelling out the UK ?

It is the Syrian consulate... it has been closed since 2011 when the civil war started.
