What to do after a deportation from UK

Post by hvandekaa » Sat Aug 26, 2017 12:11 am

Hi there

I need some advice please

My husband is Dutch and has been living in the UK for over 15years. In 2008 he got arrested and sentence for drugs but while in prison he signed a document say he would like his sentence reduce if he was to leave the UK but was told he could return between 1-5 years which he did but in 2015 he was stopped by immigration and told that he had breach his terms and in fact he was not suppose to return for 10 years we tried to appeal and went to court but was on limited time as immigration wanted to deport him within a week if he agreed to sign another documents. During the court case the home office could not provide evidence of the original document my husband signed proving the deportation order was for 10 years and not 1-5yrs. We believe their were stalling as they new we had limited time. We were appealing the decision so that he could be released temporary as I was 8 months pregnant and we both wanted each other there for the birth but the judge said without the evidence of the original document he signed she could not grant it. So my husband decided that he would voluntarily leave signed the document and paid for his ticket back to the Netherlands. So I wanted to know of there is anything we can do to revoke this decision my husband doesn't want to return to the UK permanently as he has a good job in the Netherlands bur he just wants to be able to travel to the UK and visit his son. Obviously I can travel there but we want both options available so if he did decide to move back that would be available to him.

Thanks
