Got three mails from Sheffield today

1. Apologizing for delay etc.
2. Not a straightforward case
3. Submit Birth certificate

I sent the birth certificate - scanned copy ( did it earlier also at VFS scanning). Looks like another delay. Anyone has such experience. I am now panicking - it took them 2 months to find out something is missing. Biometrics : 17th July, ECO : 27th July, CAS Used : 31st August. Course start : Sept 11th. I think I need divine intervention. Anyone can share similar experience?
I am not sure but this is my gut feeling that documents of some of July applicants got missing due to the usage of this new service. This is one main reason that decisions of July applicants are late.

A second reason is: since they scan photocopies so sometimes the images/text on documents are not clear for ECO's to analyze so they request to re-scan them or send them directly via email.

I think your case is now open and after you have submitted your birth certificate - it will be decided soon.

It is frustrating for sure but we can not do anything but wait..!!

@sushant69 does it finally mean that they are looking at July 17th applicants haha. We are doing nothing but speculating and making our own theories because we have no idea what they are doing.

I hope so. However I have photocopy of the birth certificate which I submitted earlier. You may be right as it may have not been scanned properly. I just hope this time they accept it. It's an old certificate so could be scanning issue. I really don't know. However at least they are working on it. I don't know how much time they take. Killing me.

Realistically, I think you have to wait 2 weeks before getting a message from them. I sent my missing document last week so I called them up today and they said my visa is still processing and awaiting a decision. This really is frustrating, my classes start this Monday.

I can understand your situation bro but it is a good sign that your application is picked up for decision, otherwise they could never have asked you to email the birth certificate.

They have to clear the backlog of application until 23rd Sept as most classes in unis will start from 25th. I wish you are the lucky one to get your visa decision in coming week.

Hello peeps

Those who have not received their decision yet but courses has already been started. Please be aware if your latest arrival date to attend university (which is mention in your CAS) has been passed then please speak to your university adviser for extension and notify them to update their new latest arrival date to UKVI through SMS.

Sorry to say but if university has not updated ur arrival date then it's 100% sure anyone in this situation will receive Refusal.

It happened to me last year as my university did allowed me extension but ended up receiving a refusal from home office with ECO remarks that latest arrival date has been passed mention on CAS, Therefore, you lost 30 points based on your CAS.

So please guys ask your university to give you extension if your courses has already been started.

Can anyone from pakistan have an idea how long it takes to receive passport back to VAC after decision has been made. I'm currently waiting to get my passport back. My decision was made on Tuesday 12th of September.

Please check your course start date . If it has been passed then contact your univ ASAP to give you extension and inform UKVI about extension.

Yes bro please keep updating your application status. If you don't get reply from university till tomorrow then call them cuz your course has already been started and you should get extension for that.

BRo I've not received my passport back yet but I got an email from university.

Dear Xxxxx,

I have been informed by the Home Office that your visa was granted yesterday. The only you need to do now is to wait to receive your documents.

Well this is quite surprising for me that university already knew my application status.
