Hi, Not sure as my application went via employer and an immigration agency. They didn't return my documents, they just sent a message (assume it was an email) to say that the application has been received and is now being processed. I did not receive that message, the agency handling my case did. It took 8 weeks from submission just to receive that notice.Croatia2013 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 3:07 pmOh gosh!gab3x wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 1:34 pmDon't want to make you panic but H.O. takes ages to process these certificates. I applied couple of months ago for the Purple Certificate and only got the acknowledgement of receipt of application letter last week and this was with paying extra for fast track processing.
May I ask, when you applied I presume you had to send documents like passport etc, when they sent those back to you did they give you a ref number to track the application?
If not did that ref number only arrive on the acknowledgement letter?
Or is there no tracking process for these certificates?
Thank you
There probably is a tracking code or a reference number but I don't have it as it is with an agency.
Your situation is making me worry because my partner (married) will be in a same situation as you. He is also Croatian like me so when they issue me a purple certificate he should immediately have access to work in UK even without a blue certificate; however, having read your post I worry he will also have trouble proving his right and we will need to apply for his Blue certificate as soon as I get my purple one.
I am by no means an expert like some super helpful folk here but from what I understand your new employer is not right for refusing proof of your right to work and for insisting you go through the process for obtaining a blue certificate.
Issue is, there is no transparency and the issuance of these certificates takes for ever. I still don't understand on what grounds they can refuse to issue a blue or purple certificates??
