Advise on delayed Naturalisation

Post by isaac2k2 » Mon Sep 04, 2017 2:01 pm

Hi

I am a family 5. Myself, Wife and Son came in about 9 yrs ago. We then had 2 children 7 yrs ago. Myself, wife and son had our ILR in 2013 but have not yet naturalized.

I have been working since I came until i started my own business as self-employed over a year ago.

The cost of naturalisation is on the high, and my understanding is my 2 children born in UK won't be given automatic citizenship since they where given birth to before we had our ILR.

So my question is, can I apply for myself ONLY for now, and later apply for my family?

Thanks

Yes. There is no rule that you must all apply together.

UK born children are entitled to register, so no issue there.

Children born abroad will only qualify if applying with either parent or once either parent is already British.
