Why it is so difficult to book or reschedule the same day premium service window appointment?

I just booked a slot, in the hope that I can reschedule it.

I read somewhere that, since it is so so difficult to get any date, if you just book any date when it shows slots, just book it, and then it will a bit easier to reschedule it.

I just booked on the slot, and now the canceled slots not appearing.

anyone going through the same pain?
