Hi everyone.
Me and my husband have been trying to immigrate to New Zealand since the beginning of this year and now we are trying to get back to the UK, and I have to get a Spouse visa.
He is a teacher (secondary school), and the process of him obtaining Work visa in New Zealand took so long, unfortunately, that by the time that we decided to give up on this idea and return to UK, he only had worked for three months at his current job. He has his job secured in the UK with salary over 18500 p/a, however, it has been less than six months that he has been working here. If I'm correct, this is not satisfying the criteria of getting a Spouse visa.
I have read in previous threads that it has to be only my partner who's funds are considered, so mentioning in our cover letter that we will be living in his parents' house with their continuous financial support is pointless?
In this case, what amount of cash savings will be sufficient to satisfy the financial criteria? Can it be a sum of money that my husband would receive from his dad or does it have to be continually saved up for a certain period of time?
Also, I am planning on finding a job once in the UK, would me securing a job beforehand help?
Thanks a lot in advance!
