Applying for a UK Residence Card - Request Passport Return

Hello,

I am currently in the UK on an EEA Family Permit and looking at putting the application for the Residence Card together shortly. With the long wait time for the card to be processed, for work reasons - what is the shortest amount of time that I will need to be without my passport? How long after submitting the application can I request it's return?

I believe it is safe to request for your pp once you get your COA.
