Pregnant spouse, requirements for settlement

Post by Valon » Mon Sep 04, 2017 3:48 pm

Hi there,

I'm a British Citizen and my wife currently pregnant in her second month, my question is what income do I need to meet when I apply for her settlement visa? I want our first child born in London where I live.

And we have been together for about 2 years married for 14months. I have lost all of our conversations during the first 4 months of relationship Skype decided to delete everything after updating. I still have the rest of our conversations on other apps after the 4 months.
My question is how do I prove how we met and when we first spoke?? Not sure how to provide evidence for that period..

Many thanks

Simply answer the relevant questions in the form. You are not required to provide evidence of how or when you met. Submit evidence of communication screenshots you have.

£18,600pa is the requirement for a spouse visa.

Where is she applying from? There are delays and some members have been waiting more than 6 months.

Hi
She's in Kosovo but has a degree in English taught uni, I wasn't sure if she's pregnant that it raises the minimum income of £18,600 to more because she's pregnant? Should I declare she's pregnant I mean we're both over the moon to have a baby. I'm self employed and earn around £20,000 taxable a year.

It makes no difference if she is pregnant. Presumably you are British born in the UK so the child will be British anyway and therefore excluded from any financial requirements for a spouse visa.

Do you have all the documents required to apply based on self employment?

Hi
I wasn't born in the UK but I've been in the UK for 25 years I'm a British Citizen.

As evidence of genuine relationships I was think to do screen shots of what we have on conversations which is everyday, and loads of pics we had two holidays together aswell. Is there anything else to add to evidence of genuine relationship should I type a letter up aswell on how we met etc..

Thanks for your time

If you're British by naturalisation or registration, then your child will be born British. However, if you are British by descent, then the child will need a visa if it's born before your wife arrives in the UK.

Hi so because she's pregnant it doesn't raise the minimum income to £22,400 and if the child is British Citizen that too doesn't raise the minimum income to £22,400? Is that correct? I'm ok earning over the £18,600

No and No. You only need £18,600pa for your spouse. The income threshold is ONLY higher if the child is NOT British and has to also apply for a visa.

Where is her degree from?

If your spouse is meeting the £18600 a year but through overtime do they accept that or do they only look at how much she earns an hour that's stated in her contract? T.I.A

Kindly refrain from tagging your questions onto another members topic. It is considered rude and it creates confusion when members responde. Start your own topic or continue in yours if you already have one.
