I recently received my GNIB card and temporary Stamp 4, valid until April 2018, while my residence card application is being processed as a non-EU spouse of an EU member. I am from the US originally.
My husband and I would love to pop over to his hometown of Cardiff and see family for a few days, but I'm unsure if I will need to first apply for a re-entry visa. I tried applying for an appointment for the visa online, but my country of origin (United States) was not on the list.
I'm wondering if I can easily travel in and out of Ireland without applying for a re-entry visa, using just my Stamp 4 and GNIB card, or if I will need to somehow go through the process of obtaining a re-entry visa.
If I don't need it, will I run into any trouble at the border coming back in? I'm starting a job here soon.
Thank you for your help.
