Tier 4 (dependant) to Tier 2 switch

Post by leandro_feitosa » Fri Sep 22, 2017 9:41 pm

Hey guys,

The HO guide didn't clarify this for me. I saw that I can be exempted from earning the current £30,000 salary threshold for being a new entrant and for study towards a PhD. Can my wife as dependant be exempted as well? If she is a 'new entrant' it'd be easier to find a job with a lower salary and switch to Tier 2 (general). The thing is the guide doesn't say enough for dependants.

She's over 26, but still inexperienced in her field. How can I know if she qualifies?

Thanks.

If she is over 26, it is the experienced rate and £30k minimum salary.
