Hi all,

Seeking advice for a uk settlement visa for an unmarried partner.

I'm from uk but living with my Vietnamese girlfriend and our daughter in Vietnam.

Proof of accommodation back in the uk question.

1. I have the deeds to my house, but my late mother is also named on the deeds.
Is this acceptable or unacceptable?

2. Do i need to have an official survey/property inspection of the house?

2. Do i need to have an official survey/property inspection of the house? This is only required when there are multiple occupants.

Points to consider:
1. Do you have documented evidence of living together in a relationship 'akin to marriage' for a minimum of 2 years.

2. Are you meeting the financial minimum income level through savings or earnings in Vietnam the equivalent of £18,600 p.a for the last 12 months AND a confirmed offer of employment in the UK to start within 3 months of arrival.

3. Does your daughter hold a British passport?

4. Your partner will need to pass the A1 English test from a Home Office approved test provider.

Be aware that Unmarried Partner visas come under a great deal of scrutiny and you must be able to tick all the boxes.

Hi Casa,

And thank you. I'm just doing some research at the minute.

1. This is a big concern to me, we pay everything in cash to a friend we rent accommodation from as well as water and electricity.

2. Hopefully doing this with life savings from working as a contractor in uk.

3. Any day now our daughters passport should be confirmed. That's not been easy!!

4. A1 english test and tb test in hcm hopefully before xmas .
