Hi guys, I have just completed mt masters course, and have received a job offer and contract from an employer who is willing to sponsor me to switch from a tier 4 to a tier 2 visa.
I am worried because the job starts on the 23rd of Nov, and for masters courses, the final results are released on December. Will i still be able to switch if i get a letter from the university stating that i have competed my course and i am just awaiting results?
I have also noticed that UK BA stated that:
you must have successfully completed and passed a UK recognised bachelor’s or
master’s degree, Postgraduate Certificate in Education or Professional Graduate
Diploma of Education or have completed a minimum of 12 months study in the UK
towards a UK PhD during your current period of leave or a period of continuous leave which includes your last grant of leave
A period of continuous leave includes grants of entry clearance under the Immigration Rules in place before 24 November 2016 where you applied no more than 28 days after your previous leave lapsed and/or any periods of overstaying in the UK of no more than 28 days
Prior to my masters, i was awarded an undergraduate degree in 2016 (on my previous tier 4 visa / expired on 8/8/2016), and my current visa is valid from 22/8/2018. This means that i have an 11 day gap.
Based on all this information
1) Does this mean i have continuous leave?
2) Can i apply to switch from my current to 4 to a tier 2 using my undergraduate degree?
Was anyone ever in such a similar situation, or has any experience in this?
Any help is greatly appreciated, as this situation is really stressing me out and making me so nervous.
