I consider this an immaterial change, as employement is not a pre-requisite for the application.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Hi,

I have received a letter from Home Office that my citizenship application has been approved and an invitation letter to attend citizenship ceremony which I have booked with my council. My question is since I have already applied for a British passport along with the citizenship application, will I be receiving passport immediately after receiving naturalisation certificate or will that take another month or so? As I understand I will need to return my BRP immediately after receiving the naturalisation certificate and I cannot travel outside UK without the passport. What are the next steps?

Thanks
Ajay

I'm assuming you did NCS+JCAP. In which case once you have attended your ceremony and got your certificate, you will normally get your British passport within 20 days. Many get it much sooner (e.g after 1 week). If you haven't recieved it after 20 days then you should contact the passport office.

I did my ceremony on a Thursday and got my passport the following Tuesday, so essentially within two working days. Obviously it depends on many factors, but you'll probably get it within a week.
