Pretty smooth application. One thing to note: I phoned up my council (Peckham - Southwark) after getting my approval letter and they said the earliest group ceremony date available was on the 5th of March. I asked if I could do a private ceremony and they offered a spot for the 19th of January for the tiny amount of £215. I declined that generous offer. Phoned them up again the next day and out of nowhere a spot became available for the 16 of January for a group ceremony. Earlier than the private ceremony and at no extra cost! My advice would be to keep phoning your council if you have a ceremony date that is ages away and you want to get this whole process done.
