Spouse visa approved but on 10 year route not 5 year route

My wife's visa has been approved and on the letter of approval it states she is on the 10 year route but can switch to the 5 year route if eligible. Can someone explain this to me why HO put her on the 10 year route instead of 5? And how we can apply for the 5 year route?

My wife has been approved on a 5 year settlement. Original misunderstanding was because I could not fully read the second page.

Besides which, a 10 years spouse visa is NOT granted from outside the UK anyway. This is only possibly within the UK.
