Acquisition date vs issue date

Post by shaamtech » Sun Oct 08, 2017 4:44 pm

Hi everyone,

I am sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to find an answer.

An EEA national's family member (myself) applied for Permanent Residence in October 2016 and received PR CARD in June 2017. The accompanied letter from Home Office states the date which I am deemed to have acquired PR status to be October 2016.

My question is, when do I apply for naturalisation?
Do I apply 12 months after the acquisition date making it October 2017 or do I apply 12 months from the date of issue on the residence card making it June 2018.

Many thanks in advance.
