Not quite sure where to start so bare with me!
My husband (non EU) applied for a short stay C visa under Eu Directive for Ireland on 7th August 2017. It was so he could Accompany me to Ireland not Join Spouse as I'm currently living in Morocco with him.
We were informed at Agadir Embassy that the wait times were 8weeks. They said 4weeks was estimated. He put a travel date of 19th October 2017. Us presuming this would be enough time as they state its all done on an accelerated procedure due to it being EU spouse By no means did we expect it to be done before the 8weeks as I have previous looked at these forums and found most people have waited 10+ weeks (this in 2015/2016).
My husband contacted Agadir today to be told that there are people before him waiting for their decisions and they have been waiting since March 2017 and still no decision
So I guess my questions would be:
* Will the travel date of the 19th October be insufficient. Could the visa be refused for this reason? Even if we allowed 12weeks.
*How long have you patient people been waiting for your decisions?
Any response would be much appreciated as we are now getting increasingly concerned as we are renting in Morocco and the rental agreement ends in February 2018.
Thanks for listening to the rants of a very worried person
