Decision making waiting times

Post by Ballmigirl17 » Fri Oct 13, 2017 1:40 pm

Hi

I'm wondering if anyone can offer any advise on the following:

I am from the UK and me and my partner who is Albanian have applied for a fiance visa on 26th September 2017 and are currently awaiting a decision to be made, we have online tracking service to check the status of our application . We have had no further correspondence from the visa application people since making our application and receiving our tracking confirmation.

A solicitor is involved and has advised a wait of 12 weeks before a decision has been made, I know that every application is different but I just wondered has anyone previously made applications how long did they have to wait?

I'm constantly checking the tracking, as I'm not a very patient person and this is the first time me and my fiance have been apart and its harder than we imagined. I have tried to do as much research as I can to find out what the average time spent apart for us will be. I am pretty confident that when the decision does come through that the visa will be granted as we have done everything we have been asked for and more. We just want to be together.

If anyone could shed some light that would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty much the 12 weeks as the solicitor has told you, can be a few days less than 60 days where a decision is made or it can be anywhere near the 90 day mark. Just got to sit and wait and hope that they process you're application quickly and grant you a visa.

There is a dedicated topic already for waiting times. Suggest continue posting there to avoid another long running topic being created.
