Hi Respected Board Members

I'm going to apply my visa extension soon under 5 year route.I want to ask couple of questions please.
I'm claiming child benefits for my 2 children's and my husband is a British is that affect on my flrm extension application? I will be very grateful if someone answer my question.

You are not allowed to claim benefits in your name. Your visa will say very clearly 'NO RECOURSE TO PUBLIC FUNDS'.

Your British partner should be claiming in their name only for child benefit and in joint names with you for child tax credits only.

What should I do now ? I didn't know that I can't claim child benefits. I was claiming since my first child born in 2016. Should I tell the HMRC to transfer my child benefit on my husband's name?

You need to stop it immediately in your name and let your husband claim in his name. Likely you might have to pay it back too.
