Wrong. As the OP got ILR based on long residence, the dependents can no longer extend PBS dep visas. They can only apply for spouse/child settlement visas and start a new 5 year residence.bruteforce wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2017 4:34 amBecause she was born in India , she will need to get ILR before she you can apply for her naturalisation. You can otherwise continue to extend her PBS leave.
Children born abroad still require ILR, which takes 5 years. There is no shortcut.Hstepper07 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2017 6:52 amIf application under section 3(1) (children born abroad) - There are no residential requirements for children under 13 years old. Children 13-16 years old are expected to have lived in the UK for 2 years before applying. Children who moved to the UK aged 16 or more are likely to get refused and should apply as adults once they meet the Naturalisation requirements.

Hi. Lifted this from the board's Citizen - FAQ common questions for naturization. Under what circumstance does the above apply?CR001 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2017 2:20 pmChildren born abroad still require ILR, which takes 5 years. In this OPs case, the child will follow the same path as the mother, FLR(M) for 5 years and then ILR before the child can register as British. One parent is required to be British (or applying at the same time as child holding ILR) and the other on ILR for a child born abroad to qualify once they have ILR.Hstepper07 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2017 7:51 amHi.
