Do I need verification of employment from my previous employers as well?

Post by gliderjoe » Mon Oct 23, 2017 1:38 pm

I am a US expatriate eligible for ILR under Tier 2 General. I have had four jobs since 2010 when I arrived in the UK.

The Set (O) application states under 12G Tier 2 migrant (page 78) - "A document from the sponsor who issued the certificate of sponsorship that led to your last permission to stay as a Tier 2 migrant confirming that you are still required for the employment in question for the foreseeable future, SOC code, and current rate of pay."

From the verbiage, it sounds like I only need this verification from my current employer, not from previous employers - i.e. "that led to your last permission to stay..."

Question: Do I need this document from all of my previous employers or only from my current employer? I understand that I do need the absence from UK letters from all employers.

Thanks in advance,
Joe

Only from your current employer.

You will need absence letters from ALL employers though.
