Parent joining EEA National

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was unable to find any specific topics on it.

I just wanted to find out, if I apply for my parent (non-EEA national) to join me (German national) in the UK, as a financially dependent family member, I am assuming that I will go through the process where they should first apply for a 6 month family permit, and then once my parent is in the UK, to then apply for the 5 year EEA family member visa, but please confirm.

Assuming that is correct, my main question was, do they have the right to work in the UK if they get the family permit (they are 60 years old), and would they be able to apply for PR after 5 years and British citizenship for an additional year?

Any advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

Yes for all the questions as long as ur EEA national living and excersing treaty rights in UK and keep in relationship with an NON EEA national - i also applied for my mother- which country are you applying for ur parents ?
