Tier 5 dependant visa

Post by samira87 » Sat Nov 04, 2017 11:25 am

My husband has a tier 5 visa, he recently travelled to uk and started working there. I'm willing to join him after 1 month, what documents should I apply?
Also, I read that l should provide information regarding our accommodation in the uk, is this true? He's currently staying in a hotel and hasn't rented an apartment yet, is this going to cause a problem?

I applied twice as I got a refusal the first time.
These are the documents I applied the second time:
1- My documents:
a. Passport
b. Bank statement showing more than £630.
c. IHS payment receipt.

2- My Husband’s (main applicant) documents:
a. Passport scan.
b. Tier 5 Visa on passport.
c. Biometric residence permit.
d. Certificate of sponsorship.
e. My husband’s contract of employment.
f. Letter from HR to prove Husband’s job and salary.
g. Tenancy agreement as proof of accomodation
h. Tenancy deposit protection certificate.
i. Council tax bill and Internet company letter to that address with his name on them.
j. Sponsorship letter from my husband for the length of my stay in the UK.

3- Proof of relationship/marriage (Pictures and documents):
1- Marriage certificate
2- A receipt of the diamond wedding ring.
3- Receipts from our 2 week honeymoon.
4- various pictures together with friends and family
5- screen shots for online comversations.

I don't know if all those documents were necessary but I wanted to be on tbe safe side as I couldn't risk another refusal.
Good luck.

Dont worry, you don't have to submit biometric residence permit if you both apply together now.
I submitted it because I applied a couple of months after my husband.

We were still engaged when we applied the first time. Turns out there is a rule that u must be living together for at least 2 years if u are not married.

To confirm, none of these documents were relevant to the application, and lack of them would not have been a problem nor a possible ground for refusal!

Dear Samira
We are about to complete the form we need in uk website.and they ask about IHS reference Number of mine.my visa is till 7th of november for now because i didnt get my biometric residence permit yet. So my husband has to write my pasaport visa details like this and they have IHS number without paying anything. Normally he has to pay isnt he¿ is it possible to pay for IHS after application or i am worried about we did something wrong.

Hi thanks for your answer. Did you get IHS reference Number with paying. Because we have write on form my visa expiry date ( i dont have biometric residence permit yet. Because i will go to uk on november.) so during the application they didnt get and ihs payment form us. İ dont knot we should have write to my exact return day. But they asked for visa expiry date.

Hello dear, when I applied I entered the last day on my husband's certificate of sponsorship as the date of leaving UK. I had to pay IHS covering the whole period.I'm not sure but I believe that if someone is going to stay in the Uk for less than 6 months they are exempted from IHS. Good luck with everything.
