General visit visa for mother-in-law

Post by eslamelhusseiny » Thu Nov 02, 2017 10:06 am

Hi everyone,
I'm preparing for applying for a general visit visa for my mother-in-law and her daughter to come over and visit us.
and my wife will give a birth in a few months.
So does it worth providing a proof that my wife is a pregnant and will give a birth in a few months so one of the reasons for my mother-in-law and her daughter to visit us is to celebrate with us the new baby.

One more thing my wife is still in her holiday back home, so the papers that I can provide regarding her pregnancy will be from home country not from the UK. Is that even possible?

Thanks!

sponsor a standard visit visa for a mother-in-law

Post by eslamelhusseiny » Thu Nov 09, 2017 10:09 am

Hi,
I'm applying for a standard visit visa for my mother-in-law and her daughter.
I already have a tier 2 general visa and my wife has a dependent visa.
So my question, How can I confirm that I'm gonna sponsor this visit fees for my mother-in-law and her daughter?
Is there any sort of letters "maintenance letter" I should provide? and what is the format of this letter?

Just a standard letter stating she'll stay with you and that you'll bear all expenses is enough.

The applicants will also need to prove strong ties with their home country and financial well being though being sponsored
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

What kind of proof can be provided to prove that strong ties with their home country?
