Trading on Ebay and Amazon

Post by kim001 » Sat Nov 18, 2017 6:22 pm

Hi everyone, are you allowed to base your business strictly on trading on Amazon? Does this meet the expected level of work you can engage in as an entrepreneur?

Your post has been split into your own topic. It's not only considered unfair to tag your question onto the end of another member's thread, it also causes confusion.

I don't see why not if that is what your business requires.
However, I can't personally imagine what kind of business will need 50K/200K investment and two people to be employed that would use only Amazon as the sales outlet. I could be wrong.
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.

Quite the opposite! those are the places to be and there are huge companies trading on those platforms

It's true that on ebay you can also trade as a small player with a lifestyle business with say £20K a year revenue.

Is Amazon not preferred to starting your own eCommerce site and generation of all the access to it? That's a lot of work. And ecommerce is better than high street if you ask me (I personally rarely buy anything on high street except groceries and that will change too...)

The Tier 1E rules do not prevent you from engaging in such business. There is no expected level of work
