License apply and travel

Hi, I am here with T4 student visa which is valid till this 2nd of Feb. And a company who wants to sponsor me will apply for their license by next week. I have two questions.

1. I found a solicitor who will help me after the license (if that’s approved) but is it possible to get a sponsorship license and cos before my visa expires? It is absolutely driving me crazy
(The company got rejected once.. thats why given time is a lot shorter than I expected)

2. I am going on a holiday to Netherland over xmas. I have seen some comments in previous posts that it is better not going to outside of the UK during this whole process.. Do I need to cancel the trip?
