I would like to know if anyone had been in the same situation.

My Tier 2 visa 1St Application was refused last Friday based on Salary Shortage however, I have got new CoS Yesterday I have filed a fresh application for Sameday Premium Service but my passport is still with HO. When I go to same day service next day I will only have the application, New CoS and a Covering Letter from my employer highting the error on the previous CoS.

I don't have the passport to show them on the counter will it be an issue or would they consider my new application? based on the mistake done on the CoS?

Does anyone know what will happen If you don't have the passport to show?

Anyone been in the same situation?

Please share your experience.

Hi A871SAR,

I was in a similar position to yours a couple of weeks back. My current visa expired, my application rejected and my passport was held by HO. So I made a fresh application.

On the online application form, there is a section that asks if you can provide your current passport, if you click no, it will give you a range of options of why you can’t, one of which will be “my passport is still at home office”. It will go on to ask if you can provide a scanned copy of your passport data page which you hopefully can.

This is what I used for my second application which was successful. I got a decision on the same day, the case worker requested my passport back and it was posted to me a few days after my appointment.

If you do not have a scanned copy of your passport, there is another section on the application form that asks if you have a national identity card or travel document. If you have neither, there’s a space that allows you explain your reason for not having any.

However, I have to cancel the PSC APP last night as I have already filed another application to go thru post. I have rung Numerous time at the inquiry center they have absolutely no clue what so ever. Each one them gives your different answer which really put me off. I wish I had seen your message last night but its too late now. I have already sent email to cancel the application and refund the money. Already paid for the postal service hope it will be ok.

Hello Again,

My employer has assigned me New CoS. I have filed new application today on same day service. However, HO has not send my and my Dependents Passport. Just wondering to know when I go next week for same day service what would happen as my passport is still in Sheffield

If you don't mind please share us your experience on how you managed to get another COS within 14days and reapplied with priority service. I understand HO does not return your PP when your visa gets refused and you cannot apply for Premium Service without passport.

It’s not difficult at all ask your employer to ring the inquiry line then will allocate a new COS on Priority basis would take 12-24 hrs however it will cost extra £200 for Priority allocation plus you pay £200 whilst assigning the COS.
I have to cancel the same day service because of stupid Ideas however in the application you can say your passport is still with HO.
