PBS dependent self employment

Post by Ivanedwin » Thu Dec 07, 2017 4:30 pm

HI,
I am PBS tier 2 migrant and my partner is under my sponsored dependent visa.
My partner registered a company on her name last year at companies house and got a unique tax reference number. Unfortunately the plan didn't go well and she couldn't do any trading.
So she decided to close the company and informed the companies house and HMRC about that.
She has applied for closure of company in October and waiting to finish 2 months notice period on Gazette.

I understand tier 2 migrant can't be self-employed.
but considering the above situation,
Is there any problem for me or my partner at the time when we apply for ILR ?

Your PBS Dependents are free to take up any form of employment. It is ONLY the main Tier 2 visa holder that is not.
