Fiance visa - Accomodation Requirements

Post by zeija » Thu Dec 14, 2017 4:11 pm

Hi everyone,

I am a Filipino who has been naturalised/British citizen since 2013. My fiance and I are planning to get married here in the UK using the Family(fiance) visa pathway and then switch to a spouse visa/FLR after we get married.

I am currently living with my parents and my 9-year old brother (so there are currently 4 of us living in the house) in a 3-bedroom semi-detached house. However, my parents are currently renting the property to a private landlord. We plan to move out the house when my fiance and I have saved enough money.

What requirements do I need to provide in my fiance's application?

From my knowledge, I have to provide my parent's tenancy agreement and a letter from the landlord stating he has no objections with my fiance living in the house.

1) Is this correct?

2) Do I need to provide additional accomodation requirements apart from these?

3) Is it better if I move out and rent a one or 2-bedroom flat instead?

4) If I move out, do I need to provide evidence that I live in that flat e.g council tax or any bills directed to that new house?

Hope you could help me with these queries!

Kind regards
