Tier2 Rejection - Maintenance fund

Post by HKR86 » Sat Dec 16, 2017 2:30 pm

Hi,

On Friday 15 Dec , my TIER2 visa was refused because I haven't shown any proof that I can cover my costs for a month before receiving my first salary . My employer didn't sent me the CoS letter and just send me the CoS number and I just assumed that they are going to show the maintenance fund in the CoS letter. It all had been a misunderstanding between me and my employer. So, I've decided to reapply for Tier2 visa since the appeal process is so long. It is highly appreciated if you could answer my questions:

Can I apply immediately or I need to wait for a specific time?

Is my CoS number still valid? Can I reuse it? ( There is not mistake in the previous one and I can provide a bank statement.)

Thank you.

You should have checked with your employer before hand if they were going to provide maintenance for first month. Normally its a tick box which employer can tick when assigning COS.
There is no point going for appeal or Admin Review.

Unfortunately, your current COS is used and cannot be used again. Ask your employer to assign new COS and make sure they tick maintenance box or you provide the bank statement.

hmm post study was closed in 2011? How come you still have it?

Anyways ,since you're inside the sponsor just need unrestricted COS. If they already have available then its case of assining to you.

Check with your employer , if they dont' have then you'll have to requet one which should not take very long. They should be well aware of this all.

So as I understand, the company will not incur further costs to assign new CoS. is it right?

Thank you for the information, I hope the company could pay this amount once more as I made a mistake in filling out the application form or maybe I need to pay this amount by myself.

Hi again,

I am going to reapply for Tier2 visa by tomorrow,
At the end of the application I've been asked to provide the following documents:

1-Statements from a personal bank or building society account (BARCLAYS BANK)

2- The degree certificate to prove level of qualification for XXXXXX

3-Documents showing you have had at least £945.00 in cash savings for 90 consecutive days

I am going to send an electronic bank statement with all the transaction (Saving account) bearing the official stamp of the bank on every page (from September 6th to December 7th).

I can't understand the difference between number 1 and 3. The bank statement I am providing contains my bank account number, sort code, my name and all the transactions for period of 92 days in 3 pages. Is is okey if I provide the online statement of my saving account not my current account?

Many thanks

Yes you can provide online statments but make sure they should be printed and stamped by your bank branch
