Uk tier to asylum

I came here on student visa. I was already married to my husband when i arrived. I now have 2 kids under 5 both born here. Im facing domestic violence. He has threatened me on several occassions if i go back and take kids away. I involved the police and he backed off a bit. Now in good mood he is asking me to go back to Pakistan. Im afraid he doesnt have good intentions for me as its easier for him to punish me in my home country as he has threatened me in past as well. Can anyone guide if im eligible for Asylum? Is there any chances i can get the Asylum here?? Im here for last 6 years.
