Adult (elderly) dependant relative application forms

Post by tryinghsmp » Tue Jan 02, 2018 10:00 pm

Please would you be able to advise me as to whether this application is to be made online only
(https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome)
or can this be done using the paper form VAF8A
(https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ix-1-vaf4a)
If the online form is used, there seems to be very little space provided for "additional information"
Any responses much appreciated

Note :!:
https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/adult ... t-relative
You must prove all of the following:

-you need long-term care to do everyday personal and household tasks because of illness, disability or your age

-the care you need is not available or affordable in the country you live in

-the person you’ll be joining in the UK will be able to support, accommodate and care for you without claiming public funds for at least 5 years

-you’re 18 or over
How to apply

You must apply as an adult dependent relative online and complete Appendix 1

You asked the same question in 2011 (posts now merged). Did you not make the application back then? It would have been much easier than now as the rules have changed and become virtually impossible to get this visa now since July 2012.
