ILR for Tier 2 Dependents

Post by kuldeeptak » Thu Jan 04, 2018 3:24 pm

Hi,

I am soon going to apply ILR for my wife and daughter who currently hold Tier 2 Dependent Visa. I have quite a few questions for which I am seeking help. But before I ask these questions I will clarify the situation:-

1. I entered in UK on 2nd Oct 2012 (Visa was granted on 29th Aug 2012). I got my ILR in Aug-2017. Since then I have left my employer and started my own limited company.

2. My wife and daughter entered in UK on 6th Feb 2013 (Visa was granted on 31st Jan 2013). They are currently on the Tier 2 Dependent Visa which we got through previous employer in Sep-2015 and is valid till Sep-2018.

Now below are my questions:-

1. I will be using form SET(O) and my wife will be the main candidate and daughter as dependent child?

2. What documents I need? I am assuming the following (let me know if they are required or not):-
a. My wife's bank statement to prove maintenance of funds. (3 months)
b. My wife's Passport and BRP.
c. My Passport and BRP
d. My bank statement
e. My daughter's Passport and BRP (She has now got her passport renewed after we got the last BRP). Do I need to do anything for this or just both the expired and current passport will do?
f. Marriage Certificate.
g. Tenancy Agreement (which is in both mine and my wife's name. although I pay the rent from my account)
h. A letter from the letting agency confirming we have stayed at that place since Feb-2013.

3. They have only been out of UK once (left UK on 15th May 2015 and came back on 31st May 2015). Do I need any supporting document for this.

4. Do I need any document from my previous employer through which we had the Tier 2 Visa.

5. Do I need any other document to prove cohabitation?

6. Any other document required?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Kuldeep

Hi CR001,

Thank you very much for the quick response. You have been a great help on this forum. However, I still have few question:-

2. a. If this is not required then do I need to show that I am earning more than SOC code or 35000? or this is not required as well.

2. e. My daughter's Passport and BRP (She has now got her passport renewed after we got the last BRP). Do I need to do anything for this or just both the expired and current passport will do?

5. Will the bank statements in her name for the same address as mine will do. or will you suggest any other document? (we don't pay council tax and any bill for the property as everything is included in the rent). if the bank statements are fine then for how long. (I am assuming 2 years for hers and mine). We had registered to electoral role sometimes in mid 2014. I am planning to provide Tenancy Agreement (which is in both mine and my wife's name. although I pay the rent from my account) and a letter from the letting agency confirming we have stayed at that place since Feb-2013.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Kuldeep

No.

Submit both.

Yes should be fine re bank statements. Electoral roll is fine. What about council tax and utility bills?

She started working in Oct 2015 and have her P60s and P45 since then. We had received letter from NHS in the past but I am not sure if we have that with us. She can also show her payslips since Oct 2015 and from current employment as well.
