Hi! This is my first post on the forum.
I am a Finnish citizen who has lived in the UK since 2009.
I went to a school, college and graduated last year from a university in England.
I am looking to apply for an EEA PR document; 4 out of 5 qualifying years I was a full time student without a CSI. From my understanding my application will be rejected on these basis. (definitely true?)
However, my question is: should I have held the CSI document in the first place? I did not apply to the university as an EU student but as a home student. I receive student loans and grants (based on the household income) from SFE. I want to understand if this fact changes my situation. I hold EHIC card issued by UK.
Also, the recent news of not requiring EU citizens to have held comprehensive sickness insurance to obtain the new settled status under the new agreement solves the issue of not being able to apply for a PR (because of no CSI in my specific case)?
Thank you so much for your time.
