EEA DEPENDENT MOTHER

Hello guys, |Happy New Year to all of you!

just a quick question, my mother came to UK recently on EEA FP 6 months.
i applied for her National Insurance number,
also my son, my wife has registration certificate and i have 5 years residence card. today when i went to give documents to apply for EEA FM for my mother to my solicitor he advised me to apply EEA QP again for my mother and my wife, so she can hold her passport and it will be quicker and easy for her!
through European passport return services.
can someone tells me if she gets Residence card for 5 years, how often she can travels outside UK as she doesnt want to live in UK, but keep us visiting once in a year...as my father and siblings still outside UK. would she face any immigration issues in UK. though we are not taking any benefits..
