Spousal Visa Renewal

Hi all,
I have just a few questions regarding renewing my spousal visa for the next 2.5 years here in the UK...
My husband is self employed—how will he ‘prove’ his finances without a tangible payslip? Would he just print out his self assessment forms? Would he contact HMRC? We had a solicitor help last time and this time we are trying to do it ourselves.
I’m on maternity leave at the moment and have changed jobs once in the last 2.5 years..would I just provide payslips and my tax information to show my income?
Also (sorry have so many questions)- it says in the application that we have to prove ‘correspondence’ between my husband and I in the last two years?? Does this mean print-offs of text messages? I’m not understanding.

No it does not say that. It says you have to provide evidence addressed to each of you at the same address to prove cohabitation and subsisting marriage.
