I have an urgent advice, I very unfortunately overstayed my tier 2 family visa. As stupid as it sounds, I had it mind that it was supposed to expire in March 18, and were planning to apply for an extension in February. I was shocked when I received an email from HO alerting about the expiry. I'm now in a pickle, the visa expired on 8 December 2017. I have filled out the form online for Tier 2 visa extension, however haven't submitted it yet. I can literally and apply it in days however with regards to rules am not sure if HO will even consider our stupid excuse.
To give some more background. My husband has an ILR, and have recently applied for naturalisation. I have a yr old daughter who is a British national.
By looking at some of the information available it seems that if we apply for extension it will possibly be rejected and I have to leave the country as soon as possible. And I will possibly be banned for a year to enter the country, which will be huge problem, as i have a wee little one, and i can't leave her alone as my husband has a full time job.
Also using the link in HO’s email I did inform them about the overstayed status and asked for next possible course of action.
Could any please help out and steer me, what one can do here and what is the best course of action here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
