Invalid applications and 6 years rule

Post by net5 » Tue Jan 16, 2018 10:39 am

Hi all,

Just in need of advice, I was granted dlr for 3 years on the 14/9/2012 and this expires on 14/9/2015.

I submitted my renewal on the 14/8/2015 but home office requested more information on the 15 th of September which I provided but they rejected the information provided and returned my application as invalid on the 1/10/2015.

I submitted a new application on the 5/10/2015 and was granted another 3 years on 24/02/2016.

Do I wait till August 2018 under the 6 years rule to apply for ILR or do I wait till 24/01/2019.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

If you are on the 6th Year DL route, then, as you successfully applied within 28 days from the expiry date of your leave, I think that you may apply for ILR from Friday, 17 August 2018.
