Switching from Tier2 dependent to Tier4 child

Hello, I have Tier2 ICT Visa and my son is 17 years old and has Tier2 dependent Visa.

As I need to go back to Japan in April, I'm considering to remain my son to study at current independent school in UK.

Is it possible to switch Tier2 dependent to Tier4 child inside UK ? Are there any restrictions ?

No. See the Tier 4 Policy Guidance, paragraph 239 "Can I switch into the Tier 4 (Child) category":
