That should not be issue. You can ask your employer to use Employere check service.
I have the original Home Office letters stating that my leave to remain had been granted for this job and the original reference number for the BRP but no copies of the BRP. Will the letters be enough for my employer until I can get the physical card? Can I start work on time? How likely is it that I could receive the card before the 5th of Feb? Any helppersonal experience would be appreciated!
Thanks for your reply! But doesn't the Employer Checking Service only check if you have outstanding applications? I do not have an outstanding application, I have an approved one and am about to make a new application for a replacement on the 30th. Can the ECS check that I generally have the right to work anyway? It's not very clearmakky86 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 6:33 pmThat should not be issue. If you apply via post it will take long time. Are you alreadg working for the employer or you have not yet joined the employer?Bird93 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 6:44 pmThanks but I have visited the link, it says it can only be used if I have already made an application for a replacement BRP but I have not yet done so as my application will happen in person at the Premium Service Centre. Should I cancel this appointment and make a normal postal application so that I can show that I have an application?
I have not yet joined, my first day is supposed to be 5th Feb. I know it will take longer but then it means that the ECS will show a Positive Verification showing that I have an ongoing application. If I I wait for the premium service centre application, the ECS will come back negative because I have not got an ongoing application, correct? Or can the ECS check my right to work generally?makky86 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 7:03 pmIf you apply via post it will take long time. Talk to new company HR and explain them the situation. They are Tier 2 sponsor so they have access to the system or at least confim with Home office about your work eligiblity. Thank you so much for your help and reassurance, really hoping they can get confirmation!makky86 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 7:11 pmTalk to new company HR and explain them the situation. I don't anticipate any issue at all. Best of luck.

Sorry for the late reply! I would say register it as as stolen - most cities do this with an online form and it automatically generates a reference number from you which is all you need. No need to wait for a report or anything. Just need a description /story for how it happened. Mine happened without my knowledge so my description is just that I found out it was stolen after returning home and seeing an empty bag. Hope that helps!AndyWandy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2018 9:32 amThanks - this is very helpful. My partner lost his BRP yesterday and went to the police station but they refused to issue a case number as they don't track lost items - how did you get around this with your application? We're desperately trying to find an appointment in the next few days as we have a trip on the 10th of March. Really worried we're not going to make it!
Have you already reported it to the police as lost? If not, go to them and they will either give you a report or direct you to a website that they use. The site can be different for each local area so check with a police station near where you lost it. If you you have already been and they gave you that website then yes, report it on that site and save a screenshot of the reference number.unknow443322 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 12:09 pmhow to register it with an online form? u mean register on https://www.reportmyloss.com
I lost my passport in London and worried that police station may not accept my request to provide an report.
